Dunedin Training Centre, Dunedin, New Zealand This building perhaps embodies Dunedin's wealthy inheritance.

Local cafe delicacies - a fluffy (warm throthed milk for kids which usually comes with marshmallows and a chocolate fish) and a flat white (new zealand style coffee which nearly always comes with a fern pattern in the milk). Check out where I got these in my travel blog: http://www.thebusstop.co.nz/blog/lunch-at-the-nursery #flatwhite
Had to take a picture of this delicious antipasta platter I had at Blueskin Nurseries in Waitati (SH1 just before Dunedin). Although a great garden centre, I was surprised at how awesome their cafe was. The menu includes everything from all-day breakfasts to soups, burgers and more. Plus there's a kids menu. Well worth a stop to break the journey, even for a coffee. Find them here: http://www.blueskinnurseries.co.nz/
Baldwin Street, Dunedin - the world's steepest street. Visit during Cadbury's Chocolate Festival in July and see giant Jaffa lollies/sweets racing down the street.
Looking for things to do in Dunedin? How about ice-skating. We took our 4yr old and 2 yr old and enjoyed over an hour on the ice. Tip: We recommend hiring a sledge ($5 deposit which you get back when you return it).
