Marlin Model 1893 Rifle (Part I) - This M1893 was Marlin’s first lever-action model chambered for smokeless powder cartridges. Proudly marked on the side of the barrel “Special Smokeless Steel,” this model rifle was to be made from 1893 to 1935. Our example is chambered for the .38-55 cartridge, but the case colors and engraving attract far more attention. Collectors estimate that up to a million M1893 rifles were produced.
