This book is my touchstone at present. It unpacks in detail the casework process from referral to closure and reflection. The author writes from her own experiences and the learning she acquired in the 34 years she practiced as a psychologist. To me, it exemplifies 'best practice'. There are numerous questions to challenge our thinking, assist with planning and to guide our decision-making. It is a resource I am referring to regularly as a new learner to this role.

Reflective model for me to revisit. Dewey's Reflective thinking - a means of making process. Moves the learner from one experience to the next with deep understanding of its relationships with and connections to other experiences.
Practical, authentic resource used to achieve goals for Domain 6. Discusses PD workshops aimed at raising teacher awareness of the teaching code of ethics. Evaluation of the workshops indicated that teachers, educators need ongoing systematic and structured support in beginning conversations around ethical practice and in challenging views about what is right or wrong.

This poster of the Code of Ethics is a resource I could use for PD session with colleagues, teacher and a visual reminder for myself of the four overarching principles that guide us in our practice and the commitment we have to our learners, parents/family/whanau, society and the profession.
