Beyond Fight, Flight and Freeze Mode in Response to a Narcissist --- I don't think these responses would work for a narcissist (unless they're simultaneously somehow empathetic and can tolerate the other person having an opinion different from there own and/or not having control/dominance in the conversation)...BUT I DO THINK these responses could be helpful in relatively functional relationships to help a couple set up emotional boundaries and practice distress tolerance.
