The gentle giant Raja Sandu. A new recruit to Waitak and unfortunately I didn't get the chance to do a great deal of coaching with him but an outstanding young man none the less and I'm sure he will have a huge impact at the club.
Without doubt the player that made the most use of my arm was my good mate Hayden Pye-Redfearn. Hayden and I spent countless hours in the nets working on technique and approach and we developed a close relationship to the point I felt I knew his game better than him. We rode the waves of success together, both the highs and the lows and I'm very proud of the success he's currently having in the premier team
Most people wouldn't have seen us as a match but we formed a great partnership & he is an excellent student of the game with his own style. Sam was Premier Reserve grade cricketer of the year for the season.
My coaching passion at a competitive level really began with the Liston College first Although I went to Waitakere College I am most proud of the time I spent at Liston and the school will always have a fond place in my heart
Love this boy - "The Tongan Stallion" Tes Taliauli. I've coached Tes since he was a 3rd former at Liston College and I have enjoyed every moment of it. Right up there as one of the most naturally talented young men I have ever coached and a lovely person to boot.
