La paloma neozelandesa o paloma maorí (Hemiphaga novaeseelandiae) A la paloma neozelandesa se la conoce también con el nombre de kererū (nombre maorí que recibe en la Isla del Sur). En la isla del Norte recibe otros nombres maoríes como kūkupa (en algunas partes del norte de la isla), kūkū (Northland) y Paloma maderera neozelandesa.
