The Best Bolognese Sauce Recipe - full of incredible flavor! I did the crockpot version and would simmer on the stove next time. Really tasty but wanted it thicker! Will definitely ale this again though

This turned out . I didn't add oregano, red wine, cherry tomatoes, parmesan, bacon, basil and celery and it still turned out great. I added a tablespoon of sugar to reduce the tartness of the tomatoes and a sprinkling of fresh lemon juice to add a bit of a kick to it. You also don't need 1 1/2 hours. Simmer just until your sauce thickens. A good replacement for the tinned plum tomatoes is 8 whole ripe tomatoes.
