Dim Sim - The Australianised version of Cantonese dim sum was first mass produced by William Wing Young & Co. in Melbourne in the years after World War II. The dim sim became popular as fast-food at sporting events and then began to be sold at many corner stores, eaten by people who had never set foot inside a Chinese restaurant.
