A paint-chip synonym garden! The colors on the paint strip are similar, but not exactly the same, just like the synonyms themselves. Love this! Think I'll try this next year and add an antonym to the last space, as suggested by the original poster.

Synonym Rolls~  The common word goes in the middle, and students write 10-12 synonyms along the swirly lines.  Color it in lightly with cinnamon and glaze colors and you have a yummy display.  Great idea from We've Got a Diem to Carpe!

Synonym rolls - The kids write a "generic" word in the center, such as good, nice, big. Then they write more creative adjectives around the swirl.

Tired Words - I would write the synonyms on popcicle sticks to make more durable...but love the idea!
