Douglas Macarthur (Youngest American General) He was the head of the Pacific Theatre of WWII. He defended the Philippines freedom and independence. After two years of war on Japan he accepted their surrender and oversaw the Japanese Occupation of Japan from 1946 to 1951. Lastly he lead our armies into Korea in the 1950's and was retired.

General of the Army was Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in the South West Pacific Area, 1942–45. He was commander of US and Filipino forces in the Philippines, before relocating to Australia. He accepted the surrender of Japan on September 2, 1945 and then became Supreme Commander Allied Powers.
