Mustangs! They're cool, they're fast (well, most of the time), they're stylish, and they represent the spirit of American driving arguably better than any other car. That's why they're in movies. Lots and lots of movies.

Remembering August Schellenberg - May he "Walk in Peace". I had the pleasure of meeting him at a Native American gallery in Dallas, TX. He wished me those words in an autographed photograph of his work on the movie Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee (2007). He was extremely proud of this movie and cried when scenes of the movie were shown. It was a pleasure to hear him speak.

Under the Tuscan Sun While the movie didn’t earn rave reviews or win any awards, Under the Tuscan Sun is well worth watching for its rendering of the scenic and gustatory delights of Italy. Diane Lane plays the recently divorced Frances, an American who finds herself a lonely homeowner in Tuscany, longing for companionship, a family, and running water, among other things.

THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO (Film, Book) - I discovered the book in Italy when I was living there and was gripped from the first page. I saw the original Swedish version of the movie and have not bothered with the Daniel Craig version as I really don't think it could do the Swedish one justice. There is a lot of controversy behind this story and it is almost like reading a mystery story itself to find out what inspired Larsson to write it in the first place.
