1908 Ford Model T It was the first car most people could afford. And it was the first car around for which an industry was built to improve it. The aftermarket was invented around the Model T with everything from paint to speed parts.

1910 Ford Model T Town Car - Although Henry Ford had been building cars since 1896 the Ford Motor Company officially started in 1903. After several more expensive models he developed the Model T; the car for the masses. This Town Car still has the typical 177cid, 4 cylinder engine, but it has brass hardware and is in a red finish ( fast drying "black" was only color available 1914-1925 after introduction of the assembly line). Model Ts were produced from 1908-1927.

Around 1927, Harrison Ford created the Model T, a car available for most everyone at affordable prices, made possible by his use of the assembly line. Because of this assembly line, the Ford factory provided jobs for many people. It also lowered the cost of production, allowing the lower cost of the automobile. The more people that were able to buy the Model T cars, the more money Ford made. Eventually the former farmer became extremely wealthy.
