road trips... nothing will define you quicker, will define you clearer - than a road trip.  I have found my heart, lost my heart, and had my heart broken on road trips.  But, in retrospect, I do not regret the miles that I have put in.

Abraham Lake, Elliott Peak, Alberta, Canada  Bubbles of gas released from the lake bed were frozen in their place as winter hit this year. The absence of snow in the area left the surface stunningly clear, allowing National Geographic to snap this fantastic image. I wonder if this relates to methane release due to climate change?

I love Highland Cattle.  For two months of my life, everyday I got to hand feed two of these lovlies, and it was pure bliss.

Highland cattle, Scotland - highland cattle known as "kyloe." They are stout and have adapted to grazing on plants that many other cattle avoid. Their long shaggy hair protects them from the cold winters and rainy weather.
