A South Korean diver clad in Santa Claus costume swims with sardines at The Coex Aquarium on December 8, 2012 in Seoul, South Korea. Even though the official religion of South Korea is Buddhism, about 30 percent of it is Christian and Christmas is one of the biggest holidays to be celebrated in South Korea. #cubaDiverLife
Religion,In South Korea only half of the population follows a religion. Around 30% of the population is Christian and 20% is Buddhist. The other 50% do not follow any religion. Despite religion most Koreans follow traditions that have passed on for ages. Children are expected to respect their elders and show them respect when they live and after they die.
One of my favorite quotes, referenced in a piece on Tiny Buddha, states: “If you get lost in a trigger that thrusts you to a painful event, take a deep breath and remember: we can’t change that we’ve been hurt before, but we can choose not to suffer.
