Shelburne Museum - Shelburne, Vermont John H. Knox - Photographer Yesterday I traveled to the Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont. I had never been here and it proved to be a very favorable experience. The round barn shown here is 80 feet in diameter and was build in 1901 in East Passumpsic, Vermont. Round barns were first used by the Shaker's for economy of labor. They were popular during the early 1900s, with 24 known to have been build in Vermont.
