Glorious. This is the most delicate picture of the star that NASA has ever taken. Typically NASA’s NuSTAR (Nuclear Spectroscpic Telescope Array) looks at black holes and other objects put far away in the earth’s planetary group. However, this time, the telescope has effectively caught a picture of the sun’s high-energy X-ray flashes.

The sun emitted a significant solar flare, peaking at p. EST on Dec. NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, which watches the sun constantly, captured an image of the event. Solar flares are powerful bursts of radiation.

An incredibly stunning solar flare erupted from the sun’s surface, throwing charged particles and searing plasma millions of miles out into space on Apr. 16.    NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory captured data from the flare — a medium-sized M-class event — which was turned into a movie by Steele Hill, media specialist at the Goddard Space Flight Center. This is what I think the solar flares looked like before they hit the earth. This is the reason WICKED made the Flare. The Fares killed many people. Those that survived and were outside basically were melted.
