My daughters grew up adoring this 1982 version of THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, starring Sir Anthony Andrews and Jane Seymour. Percival Blakeney (who in secret was the Scarlett Pimpernell) helped rescue innocent victims of the French Revolution out of France to safety in England. Fun movie with intrigue, swashbuckling, and beautiful costumes.

The Scarlet Pimpernel, movie. Based on 2 novels by Baroness Emmuska Orczy : The Scarlet Pimpernel, and El Dorado.

( The Scarlet Pimpernel -1985) "I don't know whether you're mad, or....Desperately in love? 'Tis all the same. Tell me, if you can, that you do not feel it, too. " ///// "You must tell me all about yourself, in every detail, but oh, so slowly, so very slowly, so that it takes a very, very long time."

They seek him here, they seek him there; those Frenchies seek him everywhere! Is he in heaven or is he in hell, that demmed elusive Pimpernel? Sir Percy Blakeney aka The Scarlet Pimpernel. Sink me!

The Scarlet Pimpernel - the original hero-with-a-secret-identity. Absolute favorite! “We must prove to the world that we are all nincompoops”

A wonderful, captivating classic set during the French Revolution. The elusive Scarlet Pimpernel seeks to save the French aristocracy from the impending doom of the guillotine.

The Scarlet Pimpernell: "Only between these two there lay a strong, impassable barrier, built up of pride on both sides, which neither of them cared to be the first to demolish."
