I'm posting this because I made the soup and it really works!  You have it everyday for lunch and I've actually lost weight.  5pds in 1 week without changing anything other than my usual lunch.  Its super healthy and will give you gas if you are not used to this much fiber.   The soup is very tasty so having it daily isn't so bad. On the downside, after 6 days I was bored with the flavor and couldn't eat anymore. But if you don't mind having it every day, it really works.

But you can use a blender to purée the soup. The texture will be coarsest — which is what you want — if you use an immersion blender.
