US bomber B-24 Liberator of USAAF 465th Bomber Group after crash landing in the Poltava airfield, Ukraine, Jan 4, 1945. Poltava was the main airfield of Operation Frantic, a USAAF "shuttle bombing" operation sending bombers to hit German targets and then land in locations in the USSR.
