FreshTake Publishers (Photographer Jennifer Hammond): This photo is from our calendar, again it is from #Wellington , #NewZealand. It captures how close together the harbor, the central city, suburban Wellington and the forested area are to each other. All within 10-15 drive. This photo is taken from suburban #Khandallah.
How's this for your office? One of the perks of being a farmer in New Zealand is the breath-taking scenery. This land is part of the Hammond family farm on the Herekino Harbor/Harbour (depending on your spelling) in the Far North of New Zealand.
FreshTake Publishers (Photographer Jennifer Hammond): The farmland on the family farm goes right down to the coast. The waves can be quite high and the surf wild on the Tasman Sea. This photo shows more layers of the waves than height.
FreshTake PubIishers (Photographer Jennifer Hammond): If you look carefully at these boat sheds, you'll see TV antennas and satellite dishes. These sheds are used for storing boats close by the sea. They are also a hangout place on the weekends and during the summer. Inside, they are equipped with couches, a kitchen, maybe even a bed and TV. Whole families will congregate in the evening enjoying each other’s company and feasting on seafood caught during the day.
FreshTake Publishers (Photographer Jennifer Hammond): This photo is a typical scene throughout New Zealand. Tourists and locals alike have been known to"kickback", and take things easy at the beach. It exemplifies a laid-back culture of shorts and flip-flops.
FreshTake Publishers (Photographer Jennifer Hammond): This photo is of David's father on the Hammond family farm going out to shift cattle on horse back with one of his working dogs. The cattle are looking on.
This shot taken on the isolated Hammond family farm at Owhata 35 minutes south-west of Kaitaia in the Far North of New Zealand shows you just how close New Zealandars are to nature. Sheep and horses graze only metres from a pink Toyota.
