Catholic Comic from the 50s
Before the infamous Chick Christian comic tracks there were books like "32 Sparks of Catholic Truth": Comics indorsed by the Catholic Church and written by priests. Drawn by artist Ralph V. Smith, these now-retro comics reflect a range of Church teaching for the laity. Fascinating glimpse into not only Catholic doctrine but another era of mass communication through the comic format. I agree. I don't go to an actual church in person. It seemed like every church I would visit was more worried about having a super bowl party, or shutting down church because of the super bowl or some other event not related to Jesus. Very few churches preach the cross nowadays.
