Writing a Mihi

Everything flows from the mountain, through the river. Then the people settle, so this is the order in which we say our mini. Below is the template we have used to write our mihi's.

To celebrate Matariki we made a korowai. All of our toddlers made a collage feather and the teachers made one too, then we put them all together to make our cloak. This korowai is representative of all the children in our room. It was the central part of our wall display on Matariki this year.

Fab Five have been busy creating feathers for our Korowai (cloak) of Knowledge. The feathers have the te reo Maori vocabulary we have come.
