Legend has it that in the field behind Gage Tower Dorm at Minnesota State there was once an old cemetery and when it gets dark many co-eds have seen a young girl hanging from a tree on the south side of the clearing. The Ridges Asylum in Ohio. A 54 year old female patient who ran away and was missing for 6 weeks. She was found dead in an unused ward. She had taken off all of her clothes, neatly folded them, and laid down on the cold concrete where she subsequently died. Through a combination of decomposition and sun exposure, her corpse left a permanent stain on the floor, which is still visible today.

Dimly lit, the Last Drop Tavern is usually packed to the brim with students, locals and tourists alike, which is somewhat surprising considering that a ghost is rumored to haunt its cellar. Legend says that the pub was named the Last Drop because this was where those condemned to die by hanging would have their last drink! Tulloch Castle Hotel, Scotland A guest in Room Eight of this 12th century hotel in Dingwall claimed he woke up during the night, unable to breath, and felt as if he were being choked. The room reportedly felt ice cold and apparently the ghosts of two girls were sitting on his chest in an attempt to suffocate him.
Ballygally Castle, Ireland Built in 1625, the Ballygally Castle has now been turned to a hotel, occasionally haunted by Lady Shaw, a former lady of the Castle. She is said to love knocking at the doors of various hotel rooms and finds it amusing when she finds no one there. Ballygally is located near the Giant’s Causeway, offering superb views of the Antrim Mountains and the Irish Sea.
