Angel Tree Topper with Red Cardinals, Needle Felt Christmas Memorial, NOTE WAIT TIME

My schedule is full for 2021 Christmas. If you order this angel it will arrive after Christmas. If you love my angels, please consider ordering one early so you will have it for next Christmas. Red Cardinals alight on this angel tree topper. Many believe that cardinals are a visit from loved ones who passed. This listing is for a CUSTOM Waldorf angel. You may choose color of hair and hairstyle. This angel comes with three cardinals. This angel has carefully constructed wings that are accented with strands of shiny Tussah silk. Her dress is soft white merino wool with silk accents. She was created on a copper wire frame and has a hollow, cone-shaped skirt to allow her to stand atop the tree. Her arms and head can be gently posed. She is about 10 inches tall. She is delicate and should be carefully handled. There is an extra charge for a wreath or anything the angel is holding.

Gnome with Lantern Nutshell Ornament - Needle Felted Gnome on Lantern Walk in a Walnut Shell Ornament / Martinmas Ornament

~This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine~ A tiny gnome carrying a lantern on a starry night...carefully made using wool which I have dyed, sculpted, and contained in a natural walnut shell. Measures approximately 1.5 inches tall, 1.25 inches across, and will arrive carefully packaged in a gift box. A tiny treasure! This listing is for one felted nutshell ornament. As each one is individually sculpted, please allow up to 3 days for me to make yours and send on its way to you. Yours may vary ever so slightly from those pictured here. (No two nuts are alike, but I do my best to use shells of the same proportions.) These are my take on the traditional walnut ornament. I have really been enjoying designing and creating these tiny fiber sculptures. It's kind of 'nuts' how much work goes into making something so small... I carefully saw walnuts in half, lightly sand, and clear-coat them for a slightly glossy look. A tiny hole is drilled in, to hang them by their hemp cord loop. Then I have fun sculpting inside of them. This is my collection of Quirky bird brooches, designed and needle felted by me. Each one that I make is different,as the images show and so feel free to say 'I like the pale pink one' for example when you order. Other than that, choose a colour and I will surprise you! Perhaps you might like an owl brooch...again please tell me! I am not making bird portraits...these are stylised, similar to those in the pictures. Each brooch comes with a silver or bronze coloured pin and so is easy to fasten to a winter coat or bag...you could even put one in a little frame!

a cheesy felting tool

cheese grater I just have to tote the wonders of my handy-dandy cheese grater! I recommend this trick all the time to my felting classes, but I highly recommend it now! Yesterday I was felting in my Wonder Washer an all-cream sheep for a customer, and I wasn't liking how it was felting. I had felted it, stuffed it with fiberfill and as it dried the stitch definition returned. I knew this yarn was capable of felting better (by past experience). Normally I would pull out the stuffing and throw the piece back into the wash for another cycle or two, but I was concerned about the sheep's leg holes felting shut making it difficult to insert the leg wires afterwards. back and forth against the grates In a panic, I pulled out my ordinary cheese grater, hoping for a miracle. I wet the sheep with soap and water and rubbed the stuffed body vigorously back and forth against the smallest grates (bumpy-side up), and it felted beautifully! No stitch definition what so ever! I was relieved and so pleased. Using the cheese grater gave me precise control over particular areas as well as broader ones as well. Great for those items that just need a little extra felting help. I encourage you to try it, if you haven't already. You'll love the results! Happy knitting!
