A cabinet card portrait with a Stayner, Ontario imprint. Contemporary pen and ink inscription on the reverse reads; "The Day Family". A brother and sisters I would say. A handsome group. My guess would be that this photo was taken during the first decade of the twentieth century. This identifies this man as an Obermaat (chevron) of the 1st or 2nd Matrosen-Artillerie-Regiment of the 1. or 2. Marine Brigade. They served in the 1. Marine Division of the Marinekorps Flandern.
