For our project we have discovered the best power source for the movement of the lizard will be through using a power plug.  This will provide us with the most amount power for this large movement

Solar power works by allowing the light to move the electrons free, this creates a flow of electricity.  A solar panel is made up of many photovoltaic cells that create this transfer of the light. This can be done through the use of two plates, one with a positive charge and one with a negative charge.  This will cause the panels to separate away from each other creating an electrical field.  When a photon of light hits the panel it will push the electron free through the electric field.

Here is another example of thermochromism. Aesthetically, this product looks like it could be effective in our product, as the green and black colours, as well as the reflective, smooth fabric, create a strong lizard effect.

Thermochromic dyes: Smart textiles: Heat Reactive Jacket by Stone Island, a tracksuit top which changes colour from black to green/ blue once it has reached 27 degrees. The fabric that is cotton nylon with thermosentive liquid crystals that react to heat.

Another conductive media that we could incorporate in conductive paint. It would be interesting to experiment with the different patterns we could create with this textile while using it for its functional purpose of enabling our LED lights to illuminate.
