Gordon Walters Maheno, 1981.   Gordon Walters’ reputation as one of New Zealand’s most significant painters is based on a consistent and prolific output over more than three decades. His highly considered paintings are characterised by geometric forms and abstract designs, often derived from Maori art, such as the 'koru' motif used here.
