The Container Mall...

The new (temporary) city mall in Christchurch... a heap of colorful shipping containers have been converted into boutique stores to replace some of those that were destroyed in the earthquakes. I really love this idea as its so original and modern... hopefully the council decide to make it permanent!

Some of you may have read my post earlier this week, just after the disastrous earthquake in the city in which I was born and brought up. The news gets sadder every day, with about 100 now confirmed dead, and another 250 still missing.
