Panhypopituitarism is a rare condition I have had since birth, and is where my pituitary gland does not work, nor any of the hormones that secrete from it. I also learned that I was infertile, due to Hypogonadism. Now we are finally moving forward with a possible solution - an egg donor will donate some of her eggs to me, so that we can hopefully carry a baby to term. Stay tuned!

How to see

Visiting South America, allowed me to tick so many of my nature bucket list items off. One of them was to visit the Amazon Rainforest, from the Peru area of it. The Amazon is home to so many animals, including monkeys, caiman, butterflies, birds, and my favourites: Howler monkeys & Giant River Otters. In this post, I write about my encounters with them.

Definitely two awe inspiring tours, that constantly have me wanting to go back and repeat!

My cats: Festo + Theodore

I hear you thinking: “You walk your cats?!” Yes I do.

Festo & Theo are indoor cats living in an inner city apartment, so when we
have time and the family bach is available, then we take our cats away with
us.

While there, I take my cats to a private track leading to Waikanae beach
where they are able to walk and run on the sand dunes.

Sun Island Resort in the Maldives was an amazing place to stay on our honeymoon. I researched where some of the best wildlife is in December, and the South Ari Atoll came up. So while staying at this affordable resort over Christmas, we swam outside our water villa with turtles and many colourful fish, and did a scuba tour with Manta Rays and fishing for Wahoo. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful resort, which had so much to do over the 5 days we were there.

Ren vs Wild

This is a story like no other of mine. What started out as a fine day for travelling, soon ended up with a different route than I had planned. Instead of travelling and exploring a new destination, I was to rest and do nothing. When you picture travelling, you don’t often imagine the injuries that can play havoc with your plans and bookings, here is such a story of one of my most impressive injuries to date.
