Piupiu

Kaupapa on taniko waistband worked in natural, red and dyed black muka. Patterns are niho taniwha. Whatu weave. Five whenu to every 10mm. Thin whiri plait along the top of waistband is twisted with red coloured muka. No kaupapa on back of piupiu. On frontside pattern there are two broad black strips running horizontally. There is also two red and natural coloured poipoi attached to waistband.
