My First North Island Kokako (Callaeas cinerea)
This was the first bird I saw (apart from a kingfisher on the shoreline) on my first day on Tiritiri Matangi Open Sanctuary, so I was chuffed as this was my target bird on my Auckland trip. However I'm not quite happy with the light on the grey feathers. I didn't use flash for this one as it was near the coastline. I used flash on the two other occasions I saw kokako.
