A nice day off, went downtown to shoot and found some old railroad engines on display. Don't know a whole lot about this but it's a an old Norfolk & Western steam engine and has a number of 1218. At the O Winston Link Museum in Roanoke,VA. HDR, three exposures and photomatix.
GWR 9682 Pannier Tank
On my way back from North London this weekend I took in a big detour and managed to photograph GWR Pannier 9682 at Chinnor on the first train of the day. I had never previously photographed this loco in steam. 9682 was a restoration project of a Barry scrapyard engine from 1982 to 2000. Although it was restored at the Swindon & crickslade Railway here it is out on loan to the Princess Risborough & Chinnor Railway.
