This house sits on a hill overlooking the city of Fujieda to the south and Eboshiyama (a mountain) to the north. The angled south-facing triangular window, which is the signature of the house, allows to control the sunlight into the living/dining area on the second floor throughout the four seasons of the year. (Atsushi and Mayumi Kawamoto of mA-style)
Origami Stair by Bell Phillips is made of folded stainless steel and framed with a glass balustrade. Very modern. Love the metal and glass contrast. It allows lots of light through, whilst still being strong structurally.
Allandale House is an A-frame(s) house for an idiosyncratic connoisseur and her family. Along with its occupants, the Allandale House also provides space for an eccentric collection of artifacts that resist straightforward classification.
