Científicos de la Universidad de Dalhousie, en Canadá, han descubierto que en las sociedades de cachalotes surgen diferentes dialectos que los propios cachalotes van aprendiendo (algo así como una “transferencia cultural”). Estudios previos ya habían demostrado tanto la capacidad de enseñarse unos a otros como un complejo uso del lenguaje en otros cetáceos, como las ballenas jorobadas.
