This small (15cm long) life-size hand-pistol has been completely covered with the bones of small sea-birds (mostly Broad-billed Prions), rabbits, petrel, sparrow, and starling. The main skull is from a black-backed gull. The teeth are from cows and sheep and the trigger is a hedgehog’s jaw. It is mounted on two rods on a backing of recycled rimu timber inside a small glass fronted case. Like the Machine gun it can be removed for the rods for closer examination.
