Auckland War Memorial Museum tells the story of New Zealand, its place in the Pacific and its people. The Museum is a war memorial for the province of Auckland and holds one of New Zealand's top three heritage libraries. It has pre-eminent Māori and Pacific collections, significant natural history resources and major social and military history collections, as well as decorative arts and pictorial collections.
Civic Theatre in Auckland, 1940s. Often went to the movies her as a child used to love listening to the Wurlitzer Organ that was played at intermission. If I & my friends spent our return tram fare money we could have extra sweets or an ice cream. We would then walk home through the domain around 4:30 to 5:00. Would not dare let a child walk through ther by themselves these days
