Vanessa Edwards graduated from the Quay School of Arts, UCOL Whanganui in 2002 with a major in Printmaking. Vanessa sees herself as a printmaker who likes to weave and often incorporates weaving into her predominantly drypoint prints. Of both Maori and European descent, Edwards uses her artwork as a means to explore her heritage and the influence of culture and tradition in society today.

Here you can see the Maori warrior and the ornateness of the carving. It is truly stunning. I just wish they'd let me play it.
