Sunday 15 February is the 133rd anniversary of New Zealand's first shipment of frozen meat to Britain, on the SS Dunedin. The journey took 98 days from Port Chalmers to London, where the 5000 sheep carcasses on board found an enthusiastic market. And so an industry was born!
