Halloween Treats with Echo Park | PaperVine

Hi Everyone Another Halloween project to share today using the Echo Park Apothecary Collection. This time I have used the Digital Collection available here from jessicasprague.com. Sour Cream Containers I LOVE these! They might actually be my most favorite project I have created this year so far! Using the Apothecary Digital Collection I created a template for these – BUT I have made heaps of these with just regular patterned paper. I have a tutorial showing exactly how to put them together…

Homemade Halloween Bark – 3 ways | PaperVine

Hi Everyone – another candy post today! I mentioned previously it’s pretty hard to get Halloween stuff here in New Zealand, so I made this Halloween Bark using some easily available lollies and white chocolate. Skulls, Tombstones and Bats! In reality this is just some halved orange flavored jelly filled lollies, some white chocolate skulls and some licorice twists cut into slices to look like bats! Help Me – I’m Melting! More skulls here along with some blue and red tic-tacs and black and…

Batty Treat Bags w/ Echo Park | PaperVine

Hi Everyone A couple more ideas to share today from my first post as Echo Park’s Fresh Face Designer. Halloween Bark Treat Bags These bags were so easy to put together. First though – I made the Halloween Bark (see how I did it on my blog here!) After packaging it into some cello bags I added these bag toppers. Using some fabulous Spellbinders dies I cut a large bat from a folded sheet of patterned paper (making sure to leave some room inside the die for a hinged top) and then mounted a…

“Batty About You” Card Video Tutorial (Echo Park) | PaperVine

Hi Everyone A blog first for me today over at Echo Park – a video tutorial to show you how to create a fun Halloween themed card with the Chillingsworth Manor Collection from Echo Park. I have wanted to create a “Specimen Art” style card for a long time – but my first couple of attempts with a paper punch and ruler were woefully unsuccessful! I then decided to use my Cameo to create a kind of “reverse” card with the patterned paper showing through the cut-outs. It is easy to create this…

Hi Everyone First off today – a warning! If you are a person who does not like to use or consume artificial food coloring and/or additives, turn away. Now! Over the next week of so I will be posting some little tutorials in readiness for some upcoming work I am doing for Echo Park and the Christmas Countdown at Artfull Crafts. Coloured Candy This came about as I was looking for some Halloween Candy here in New Zealand – and of course no-one celebrates Halloween here so I was pretty much out…

Halloween / Fall Bowl and Pumpkin Tutorial (Echo Park) | PaperVine

Hi Everyone Today I am sharing some fun home décor with the Chillingsworth Manor Collection. I created these little pumpkins using my Cameo and this file here. (Note: They are very delicate when cut – so you will need to put them together carefully to avoid popping any of the seams open!) The fabulous range of orange and green prints in this collection were perfect for creating the bases and leaves of the pumpkins. I created the bowl using a really simple paper mache technique I saw on a…

Hi Everyone I have this post up on the Echo Park blog today – and it’s a really fun one if you like to host themed parties OR if you want an easy introduction to digital / hybrid scrapbook projects! For this project I used the Chillingsworth Manor Element Pack 1. Included in the pack (which retails at $2.99) are 118 of the elements included in the paper collection. Once downloaded, you can edit and print all of these to suit your requirements. I have chosen to use this banner element that is…

Halloween “Spooky Tree” – Echo Park | PaperVine

Hi Everyone A few more Halloween ideas using the fabulous Apothecary Emporium Collection from Echo Park today. I bought this Kaisercraft Modern Tree and set it aside for Christmas but I could not pass up the opportunity to make it into a “spooky tree” as my kids have called it! I painted the whole piece with 2 coats of black acrylic paint and then laid the Black Magic (reverse) pattered paper over the tree in sections and glued it on. Using a very sharp knife I then cut around the branches…
