Jodi and Rex prowling around local park.... Breed is the Rhodesian Ridgeback another name is the African Lion Hound. That name may be intimidating, but it does tell you a lot about this powerful, incredibly loyal hound. As their nickname suggests, they were bred to hunt lions.
Waterbuck This is a large, robust antelope. Bulls have a shoulder height of 1.4 metres and can weigh up to 260 Kg. Cows are smaller than bulls. Waterbucks have a brownish–grey shaggy coat. The eyes and nose are patched with white, and there is a white collar under the throat. The rump has a characteristic white ring. The large rounded ears are a prominent feature. Only the bulls have long, forward curved horns.
Tiefland-Nyala The golden yellow-brown of the lower legs in adult bulls is unique. Nyala ewes are much smaller weighing only 54-68 kg and have a shoulder height of 82-106 cm. They are a bright, chestnut-brown and lack the furry coat of the bull. Nyala lack the scent-marking pre-orbital glands of most other antelope species.
The Egyptian goose is a member of the duck, goose, and swan family Anatidae. It is native to Africa south of the Sahara and the Nile Valley. Egyptian geese were considered sacred by the Ancient Egyptians, and appeared in much of their artwork.
