The 1907 Blacker House in Pasadena, California, was designed by architects Greene and Greene. It a masterpiece in the American Arts and Crafts style which is imbued with a love of Japanese architecture, traditional wood joinery, metal craftsmanship and classical proportion. Duncan Irwin House by Greene and Greene (1906-8). Pasadena, California.

The Duncan-Irwin House portico was added in 1908 to give the southwest entryway a more formal appearance. The oversize door is flanked by two smaller opening panels which are all adorned with beautiful art glass by Emil Lange.
