A rare white humpback whale has been spotted off the coast of Queensland on Monday, and whale watchers are hoping it is Australia's famous whale Migaloo.

According to the Daily Mail U.K., a maritime engineer spotted a white humpback whale swimming amongst a pod of regular-hued humpbacks in the waters off Norway. This one is Migaloo and he is not albino, but leucistic, as are the other white humpbacks recently spotted. In fact, one of them is believed to be the offspring of Migaloo.

Beluga Whale. The beluga or white whale is an Arctic and sub-Arctic cetacean. It is one of two members of the family Monodontidae, along with the narwhal. It is up to 5 m (16 ft) in length and an unmistakable all-white color with a distinctive protuberance on the head.
