I just picked this up in a used book store (which, sadly, has closed now). It is one of the best books I have ever read. The characters are so real and their dilemmas, reactions, and decisions are so human. I have also read Olive Kittridge by Elizabeth Strout, which won the Pulitzer. It was great, but this will always be my favorite. I love these women.

Amy and Isobel by Elizabeth Strout. It was a slow starter, strong on detail. I was not particularly enjoying it but I wanted to read on. Later it began to grow on me. It had depth.
