Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow (Brunfelsia pauciflora 'Floribunda' or Brunfelsia grandiflora ) Tender tropical evergreen shrub for zones 10-11, about 10 ft tall and 8 ft wide. Very fragrant flowers in rose/mauve, purple, and white (all 3 colors at once) blooms most of year except coldest months. Prune after flowering for more bushy form if desired. Poisonous if eaten. Propagate by cuttings or seeds. Bees, butterflies and birds love it.
Although you don’t have to live in the tropics to grow plumeria in the home garden, you should be aware of its growing requirements beforehand. Often grown in the garden as an ornamental shrub or small tree, plumeria plants need to be grown in well-draining soil that is slightly acidic. They also need at least six hours of full sun.
Bee Balm (Monarda) - Zone 4-9 Full Sun-Part Shade (best flowers in sun). 36"-60" Height/Width. Spreading, clump-forming herbaceous perennial. Bruised foliage is fragrant. Not drought tolerant (best in soil that never completely dries out). Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, & bees. Very susceptible to powdery mildew if overcrowded or overhead watering. Water when leaves wilt in dry weather. In late fall, cut plants back to within several inches of the ground. Propagate by division or seeds.
