...I vaguely remember a news clip about  World War veterans, who faithfully gathered at the annual Memorial, regardless of where they lived. Eventually there came a year when only one turned up, as all the others had passed away. There was a photo of the veteran, sitting all alone on a bench at the memorial site. Tears were in his eyes as he realised there would be no more reunions with his buddies, certainly not in this life, as he was now the 'Last Man standing'...a War Hero.
