A reflection on society: Eye-catching building uses mirrors to deter graffiti artists

Mirror House, Copenhagen: a playground pavilion in the Copenhagen Central Park that was once covered in graffiti has been transformed by MLRP Architects. The building was reconstructed using heat-modified wood and mirror-polished stainless steel sheets.

The MIRROR HOUSE, Fælledparken, Copenhagen, is a playground pavilion. Once covered in graffiti - now transformed by MLRP Architects. The existing structure was redesigned simulating a funhouse using minimal resources. As the doors to the “Mirror House” open, a new massive mirror-polished sheet is exposed for children to interact with. When closed, the building appears rather ordinary. Heat-modified wood and mirror-polished stainless steel sheets were used reconstructing the exterior.
