John For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
We love this verse and remind ourselves of it often. Being a Christian doesn't make you popular; it usually makes you a target; but if God is for us, who can really be against us? Our God is Greater-song title
