Liebherr’s offshore crane division installed a board offshore crane, type BOS on the Giant 7 heavy lift barge, which installed the first foundations at the Wikinger offshore wind farm at the end of the last month.

A Modulift spreader combined with a beam attached to a gantry and a crawler crane as monopiles were tandem lifted from pontoons onto land in Cuxhaven on Germany’s North Sea coast.
A special coating on the monopiles meant that attaching rigging equipment was not possible at all points, while height was limited and there was between the gantry’s hooks that were positioned to each side of the center.
