Inveraray Castle, UK - a country house near Inveraray in the county of Argyll, in western Scotland, on the shore of Loch Fyne. It's been the seat of the Duke of Argyll, chief of Clan Campbell since the century.
Castle Varrich At Tongue on Scotland's North Coast, originally built by the Vikings in about 1000AD, it was added to by the MacKays in the 1400s. It was a watch tower guarding the route along the Pentland Firth. The land has risen about 150 ft since it was built and the old sea shore is clearly visible.
