Wreath making workshops were held in Maclean, Yamba and Iluka libraries during December, a very social, relaxing time was had by young and old as the participants learnt how to recycle old books and magazines into a homemade funky Christmas Wreath.

With the help of the local fire brigade Santa paid a visit to story time at Yamba library, much to the thrill of the children present. The children had an opportunity to visit with the fire truck in the library courtyard, as well as spend time with their favourite man in red.

The Adventures of Fatty the Ratrod author visit was held across the Clarence Valley Libraries over the January Holidays. The children had an opportunity to meet the “truck” along with the story’s authors.

Orange Family History Group, partner volunteers with Central West Libraries main branch, Orange City Library, has reached an incredible milestone of 80,000 entries from in the local newspapers, births, deaths and marriages listings, funeral and probate notices and obituaries.  Members of Orange Family History Group Marie Cousins, Lynne Irvine, Jenny Gillard and Julie Milne are creating a valuable archive.

Ashfield Library are proud to present quarterly Saturday Storytime programs for preschool aged children and parents who may not be able to attend our week day sessions! The program is in its third year and is treasured and highly valued by local families, with up to 90 attending a single session.
